I won't say one is better than the other, but I think the fact that I spend a helluva lot more time here than on the forums says enough.I like how the forums have a lot of off-topic areas, such as a section for tank history. Although posts about that kind of thing tend to be really popular when they do get posted here, most users writing those posts tend to submit them to different subreddits. That's the downside of subreddits - they aren't good as a catch-all community. On the other hand, I greatly prefer the Reddit format, if nothing else because forums are not designed for multiple discussions at once - people end up talking over one another, or creating separate topics. Here, if you post a query, you'll get to hear everyone's opinion, not just those of the first handful to respond and strike up a conversation.
At least, that's how it feels like to me, having spent many years on various forums. The upvote system, for all of its flaws, does give at least some indication of how much the community agrees on a particular point. On forums, quantity of posts is the best metric. As someone who often finds themselves taking the 'no the sky is not falling' position, I feel like I have a way better chance of being heard here.Lastly, the nice thing here is that moderation is based on decency, not on content, so as long as you aren't a complete asshole about it, you can criticize WG as much as you want to. Even when the mods don't step in, the upvote system tends to push the most vile comments to the bottom regardless. I am often appalled by the lack of civility on the forums - it's bad here, but it's a lot worse over there. I was wanting to use them to participate. Have some fun with conversations, learn from other players.
At least that was my thought behind it. But didnt find any of that on the forums. It was just a mess of random topics in my opinion.
And found it impossible to participate in anyway with the conversations. They are to long, or they are to shitty. And guess Wargaming will not change a thing on the forums. So my advice would be. Stay away from the Wargaming forums, at least the one of World of Tanks and join the subreddit of this. It is much better and much more fun.

The content here, to me is a lot more pertinate with less toxicity and without all the heavy handed moderation. For those who don't know, Paul Howe is a retired Delta Operator whom I consider a friend and mentor. Because of his tutelage and teachings, much of his materials passed through to the Air Force Special Operations Command via programs I helped with.' As for rudeness and the internet, I am used to it and people.
Cowards grow big balls behind a computer screen and screen name. When I meet them in person, they generally back-track like the bitch they are. It is nothing personal to anyone, I am just making an observation. If you want to be rude to me, all I ask is you be rude in person.' - Paul Howe.
